There is a unique kind of energy that takes over when hundreds of people gather with a single, shared heartbeat. Today, I had the privilege of joining the Peace Walk in Washington, D.C., stepping out onto the streets of our nation’s capital not just as an individual, but as part of a collective voice standing for unity, justice, and lasting peace.
Walking past the historic monuments and through the heart of DC, it was impossible not to reflect on the journeys that brought each of us here. Every person marching beside me carried a story of resilience, of advocacy, and of a deep-seated hope for a better tomorrow, both here at home and for our communities across the globe.
In the work we do every day, we often talk about advocacy, policy, and change. But seeing it manifest on the ground, feeling the solidarity of diverse communities coming together to lift each other up, is a powerful reminder of why we show up. Change isn’t passive; it’s an active choice we make with every conversation, every partnership, and today, with every step.
Grateful for the incredible organizers, the inspiring leaders, and every single person who brought their heart and energy to the pavement today. The walk may be over, but the work and the message continue
